Signed David Bowie Autograph LP's

For many fans, the ultimate wish is to own a signed David Bowie LP

As Bowie's popularity grew in 1972, more requests came in for David and his band to sign LP sleeves.

There are very few (but obviously some) signed  "David Bowie" (released 1967), "David Bowie aka Space Oddity" (released 1969), "The Man Who Sold The World" (released 1970) autographed on the actual year of release.

The gallery below shows many signed Bowie sleeves -  most are signed post 1973 .

Current valuations are as follows, based on genuine signed Bowie LP's - this will be amended quarterly as trends and values change.

1. A signed  12" LP sleeve from the  years 1967-1980 -  up to £10,000 depending which year he signed the sleeve and if members of the Spiders also signed

2. A signed 12" LP sleeve from the  years 1983-1990 -  up to £1900 depending which year he signed the sleeve

3.  A signed  12" LP sleeve from the  years 1991 - 1994 -  up to £1400 depending which year he signed the sleeve

4. A signed  12" LP sleeve from the  years 1994- 2003 -  up to £1800 depending which year he signed the sleeve

5. A signed  12" LP sleeve from the  years 2003 -2015-  up to £1200 depending which year he signed the sleeve, a genuine 2015 autograph on any sleeve is worth North of £1500.

This data is based on current selling trends and  cumulative prices taken from auction houses and sites "final prices realised". It does not include sellers premium/commission (normally around 25%) added  to the hammer price by traditional auction houses. It also does not take into account  retail prices being charged by online memorabilia sites which are sometimes much higher than actual market value.
